High Cube Container

High cube containers are similar to standard cargo containers, but they are taller. The approximate height of a high cube container is 2896 mm (9 ft feet 6 inches), while the height of a standard container is 2591 mm (8 ft feet 6 inches). High cube containers are commonly available in a 40-foot-long size, but they are sometimes also available in a 45-foot-long size. They are typically made of 14 gauge corrugated steel panels and have double doors on one end. In order to support heavy loads, high cube containers often have lashing rings mounted on the front top end rail and bottom cross member, as well as on the corner posts. These containers also typically have goose neck tunnels at each end to facilitate easy transportation.

Use of high cube containers

High cube containers are used for transporting cargo that is taller than what can be accommodated in a standard container. They are also typically used for transporting lightweight cargo that has a high volume. In general, high cube containers are suitable for transporting any type of dry cargo. They are commonly used in international trade to transport a wide variety of goods, including consumer products, industrial equipment, and raw materials. Because of their increased height, high cube containers can hold more cargo than standard containers, which makes them an efficient and cost-effective option for transporting certain types of goods.
