FCL stands for Full Container Load, and it refers to a shipping arrangement in which a single shipper books an entire container to transport their cargo. In an FCL shipment, the entire container is owned by one shipper, and the cargo it carries belongs to that shipper. The container does not need to be fully loaded with cargo in order for the shipment to be considered an FCL shipment.
