Definition of loading meter
One loading meter is equal to 1 meter in length of goods on a trailer or truck.
In relation to Euro pallets, it is stated that 1 Euro pallet or 2 Euro pallets is equal to 0.8 loading meters. This means that one Euro pallet or two Euro pallets occupy the same amount of space as 0.8 loading meters. Euro pallets are a standard size of pallet commonly used in Europe for transportation and storage of goods. They are typically 1200 mm x 800 mm and are designed to be easily transported by forklifts and other pallet handling equipment.
Tautliner
In Europe, 13.6 loading meters is a common length for trucks, such as tautliners, and can include other types of trucks like MEGA, BOX, or FRIGO. This measurement is used to ensure that the truck is loaded efficiently and that the cargo is properly secured for transportation.

Width of trucks (wide inside standard trailer)
Width of “normal” tautliners or bigger trucks is 2.48 m. It may happen the width of the cargo is 2.50 m.
This kind of width is unsuitable for normal tilt trucks, so it should and usually is carried out with FLAT or
OPEN trucks, which can carry such goods with no problem.
Weight of truck & groupage
